Dear Horticulture For Healing loving friends,
We have some quick and exciting updates to share:
1) Horticulture For Healing’s grant application was ACCEPTED TO ROUND TWO of the See Beautiful grant! We will be featured on See Beautiful for their month of July blog posts. See beautiful specifically wanted us to share with their community how our organization addresses equity, diversity & inclusion, and justice and/or peace. This recognition and exposure will open new doors for us. Grant money will be announced by July 31st, We hope to make it to the award.
2) Having a generous, beautiful group of supporters who want to help women succeed, has been the major part of this fresh success. I plan to expand Horticulture For Healing to women’s centers and facilities throughout Florida empowering women to own their lives, claim their value, and recognize their beauty.
<3 Thank you to everyone who was able to donate this month and last <3

3) Just published a new article/post for the web page titled Winona LaDuke: A source of strength and inspiration. Check it out : )
4) We are awaiting the OK to go back to STEPS to build gardens. Due to the pandemic and continued spiking of COVID19 in Florida, the facility where we will put our first two garden beds cannot allow visitors at this time. I recently got word of another facility located in Volusia county Florida, that may be a potential site for Horticulture For Healing to expand and build a second set of gardens.
Nurturing plants the way Horticulture For Healing demonstrates, uncovers an individual’s connection to the earth. This connection can help women recognize and claim their beauty and value while owning their past and present. We strive to unite recovering women in strength and solidarity.
Horticulture For Healing depends on donations to help marginalized women in early addition recovery. If you know of anyone who would like to support this organization please pass along this email, website, or share the donation page.
OK, Thats all for now. Thank you for your continued support <3
Much Love,
